The cafe and the roastery share one room at 9 Custom House Wharf. Come for a pour-over, watch a batch come off the Probat, and leave with a bag still warm.

Open daily, 7 to 4.

Kitchen pours until close. The roastery runs batches Monday through Thursday, so those are the mornings to catch the drum going.

What you'll see

A roastery you can stand next to.

There is no back room. The 12-kilo Probat sits a few steps from the counter, jute bags stacked by origin behind it, and the cupping table by the window where every new lot gets tasted before it goes on the menu.

The wall of tide charts has been there since 2014. Sam still checks the morning tide out of habit before the first batch charges. When the fog is in, the whole wharf smells like the roast.
